Department 56 Fisher-Price Pull Toy Factory. The history of pull toys dates back to 2000 B. In ancient Egypt and Greece when toys made of clay animals were fitted with wheels. Pulled behind a child, they added a new dimension of play not found with other toys. In America during the 1800, pull toys were made of pressed tin or moulded from cast iron. Fisher-Price® classic toys are still popular today, ranging from the Chatter Telephone to the Bouncy-Bee. This new North Pole Village factory highlights the production of the Snoopy Dog and Doodle Duck, showing where the installation of squeakers, wheels, top hats, and glasses are completed.
Made from hand cast and hand painted porcelain, and meticulously designed by Department 56 village artists. To light this we include a Department 56 display anywhere LED light (4 x AAA batteries required - not included) for UK or EU buyers. For US buyers only, we will include the original US light bulb cord in replacement of the battery light unit. Fisher-Price® and associated trademarks are owned by Mattel and used under license from Mattel Europa B. Hand cast and hand painted porcelain.
